Camel Donga Eucrite Meteorite
The first stone weighing 503 g was found by Mrs. J.C. Campbell in January 1984. It was discovered near Camel Donga, on the Nullarbor Plain, Western Australia, Australia. A further 11 stones were found within 1 km of the original site by B. Mason and W H. Cleverly in July, 1985. Other stones have since been found totaling more 50 kilograms.
These individual specimens have a glossy black fusion crust. Camel Donga has abundant metal which is unusual for eucrites!
