NWA 8036 is a new Shock Melt Eucrite found in Morocco in 2013. The shock level is very high so the glossy polish displays a variety of interesting components resulting in one of the most beautiful meteorites I have ever seen! NWA 8036 is a monomict breccia composed of distinct, rounded polymineralic clasts plus related mineral debris derived from a gabbroic eucrite lithology. The main minerals are brownish pyroxene and plagioclase (exhibiting polycrystalline subgrain structure as a result of shock).
The Total Known Weight of NWA 8036 is 1612 grams in 21 stones that I have cut in half to best display the specific piece. It likely has pairings so I have priced my selection at Less than half of what the retail value should be!
